Bonzie Colson II is a New Bedford native who believes in giving back to the community. From youth leagues in the city, to playing college basketball at Notre Dame, he’s turned his dream to a reality.

While at Notre Dame he earned NCAA 3rd Team All-American honors as a Junior & 1st Team Preseason All-American honors as a Senior. During his Junior & Senior season he was Notre Dame's leading scorer, led the ACC in rebounding, and was the first player shorter than 6'7" to lead the ACC in rebounding since 1958. He was also named All-ACC first team.

Prior to the 2017–18 season, Colson was named the preseason ACC Player of the Year and a first-team preseason All-American by the Associated Press. Hard work led him to the NBA as a member of the Milwaukee Bucks in 2018-2019, turning his dreams into reality.

After developing further with the Bucks, he’s continued to strive for greatness now playing in Europe earning the FIBA Champions League & French LNB League MVP.  A season after winning 2x MVP awards, he continue his career overseas playing in Izmir, Turkey with Pinar Karisyaka leading his team in points, rebounds and efficiency.

Through BCSA Bonzie will share his knowledge and skills to help the next generation of players to develop their basketball IQ and reach their full potential.

  • Provide an opportunity for young athletes to develop their skills, learn life lessons and enjoy the game of basketball through skills clinics & camps.

  • Instill a competitive desire and passion to become a complete player both physically and mentally.
